Those who remain close to nature are few and far between, and yet, Adelheid is unfortunate enough to be born with the blood of those deemed transgressors. She carries with her the burden of their sins, petals spilling from her eye and digits turned to pistils, reminding them of the beauty that they have forsaken. This curse hangs over her head, and as her 18th birthday draws near, its shadow of a reaper rears its sickle by her throat.
